He stated this while distributing the commendation certificates among the officers of Cooperative Department Faisalabad division showing excellent performance in 100 percent recovery of Agriculture loans advanced for current and previous crops. Deputy Registrar Cooperative Malik Ishfaq Shahid, Punjab Provincial Cooperative Bank zonal head Mahar Noon Muhammad Khan, Cooperative College principal Muhammad Sabir Bhatti, circle registrars, assistant registrars, branch managers and other officers were present on the occasion.
Punjab Minister for Cooperative informed that decreasing of markup of different loans was being considered for accommodating the small farmers and factory owners. He maintained that 98 agriculture tractors had been distributed among the small farmers on subsidized prices by the department. The minister appreciating the performance of officers, said hardworking and efficient officers/officials would be encouraged for raising the services of the department. He urged officers to work actively for providing quality departmental services to the cooperative societies. He also lauded the better working relationship between department and bank and said that best results of departmental activities could be achieved through coordinated strategy. The Minister expressed his commitment that the weaknesses of department would be removed and no corruption would be tolerated at any cost.
He said departmental services would be equipped with the scientific lines for safe and useful investment in agriculture, housing and other sectors through cooperative system. He assured the officers for all out cooperation for the redress of their any sort of problems.
Punjab Provincial Cooperative Bank zonal head Mahar Noor Muhammad Khan said transparency had been ensured in the advancement of loans. He informed that the targets of 100 percent recovery had been achieved with coordinated efforts of bank and department which is proof of success of cooperative system. Deputy Registrar Malik Ishfaq Shahid welcomed the Minister and said the performance of the department would further be boosted up by the encouragement of Punjab Minister for Cooperative. He informed that loan of Rs 250 million had been advanced to the 1300 agricultural cooperative societies for the Rabi and Khareef crops and 100 percent recovery had been made by the department.
